The Wild Sun Rescue Center...

and accommodations are located in Cabuya on the tip of the Nicoya Peninsula. Cabuya is a beautiful little fishing village that is next to the Cabo Blanco Reserve. Nearby are the beautiful towns of Montezuma, with its laid back hippy vibe, and Santa Teresa, a world class surf destination that repeatedly gets voted as one of the worlds most beautiful beaches.

Accommodations

Students will stay on the grounds of the Wild Sun Rescue Center. The center has a yoga deck, infinity pool with ocean view, dining area with kitchen, hiking trails, and many lounging areas with hammocks. Students can choose from two different types of shared rooms. The Deluxe Rooms are located by the pool and have private open air bathrooms, air conditioning, satellite TV, and mini fridges. The Simple Rooms are dormitory style near the dining area and have a shared bathhouse below.

Meals

Three meals a day, except Saturday's lunch and dinner, are included in the program. On Saturdays we usually head into Montezuma or Santa Teresa for sunset and dinner at a local restaurant. Our Chef, Randy, who specializes in healthy local cuisine, can accommodate most dietary restrictions. Please let us know in advance.

Travel Information...

Now for the exciting part getting here! You will fly into Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO) in San Jose, Costa Rica. Once in San Jose, you have a choice of how you can travel to the final destination out on the peninsula, air or land transportation (please inquire about travel by land). The most convenient choice is a short 25 minute flight to our Tambor (TMU) airport booked separately on Sansa Airlines.  Leave 2-3 hours between flights to get through customs.  Check when the local flights are available before you book your ticket from your home country as their schedules change seasonally. In Tambor we can arrange a shuttle for the 30 minute drive to Cabuya and the Wild Sun Rescue Center!
